In Canada, a liberal politician is a person who will willingly sacrifice YOUR life for their own welfare—a narcissist who will completely disregard your well-being as long as their agenda is moving forward. Woefully this is not a joke; but our dark reality. The port strike returned once again because the Liberals failed to properly address the demands of its participants, and with it our economy is back at a critical and dangerous phase.
Most Canadians are now suffering from considerable financial hardship and are reasonably angry. We are struggling, and our liberal government is to blame. This results from taking a political joke so far that you end up electing this joke over and over again for eight consecutive years. However, we have finally had enough of corrupt Trudeau’s empty promises and outrageous lies.
Keep reading to learn more about why the union rejected the offer they were presented and how Daniel Smith and Pierre Poilievre are backing up the protesters while the Liberals failed them as usual.
British Columbia’s port strike is back after rejecting the useless offer they received that ignored their main concerns. They made it abundantly clear that their main concern is jurisdiction; which means job security, this is well within their rights to demand. The first strike lasted 13 days, from the 1st of July to the 13th, causing a province-wide shutdown affecting more than 30 ports across British Columbia, including Canada’s largest port, the Port of Vancouver. This has been highly damaging for an already fragile economy, and with protesters going back on strike, the situation seems to be getting worse. The union’s reasonable demands were denied by the federal government.

Trudeau and his liberal government made no effort to actually listen to the protesters and devise a lucrative deal that would successfully end the strike. Instead, they overlooked job security which is one of the main demands of protesters.
This comes after the B.C. Maritime Employers Association and the International Longshore and Warehouse Union Local 502 tentatively reached a deal on July 13th, ending nearly two weeks of striking.
In a news release, the group stated that the ILWU internal caucus leadership has now “rejected the tentative agreement before it was even taken to a vote of the full union membership.” This is how out of touch liberal officials are that they give the union a deal so poor it is rejected before voting even commences. Maybe liberals just don’t care. The union said the caucus “does not believe the recommendations had the ability to protect our jobs now or into the future.” Our position since Day 1 has been to protect our jurisdiction and this position has not changed.”
Resuming the strike might result in greater supply-chain disruptions and increase the danger of further nationwide inflation, which is already dangerously high because of the liberal government’s failed fiscal policies and consistent inflationary spending.
Last week’s Failed agreement was negotiated with assistance from federal government mediators while the PM was busy at another NATO meeting concerning Ukraine, committing more taxpayer money to a lost cause that we should not be involved with in any way.
The leader of the Conservative party, Pierre Poilievre, criticized O’Regan for failing to resolve the conflict.
Poilievre tweeted about the Liberal clownery led by Trudeau,” What colossal incompetence by Trudeau’s Labour Minister. He claimed he’d gotten a deal to end the strike, and now it’s back on with massive costs to consumers, workers & businesses. We can’t afford this incompetence.”
Poilievre is correct as usual; Trudeau and his party are an inadequate mess. Nothing that comes out of their mouths seems to ever be truthful. We all know that Trudeau is a narcissist in love with the sound of his own voice, but the audacity it takes to go on T.V. and claim he reached a working deal with other provinces when he clearly didn’t. when he apparently didn’t. The prime minister has pushed for an inflexible settlement to end the conflict, and he told the Star he was “confident” both sides would successfully strike a compromise. At the time, he avoided concerns about whether, should either party decide not to approve the agreement’s provisions, he would take the divisive step of drafting back-to-work legislation. This again proves that Drama teacher Trudeau is the prince of platitudes. Moreover, we are aware the prime minister was busy with his second surprise visit to Ukraine, making Canada a laughing stock in Nato and the whole world, so of course he didn’t care and rushed to build a weak compromise that would’ve never held more than it did. The arrogance of Trudeau believing and announcing he came up with a deal before getting confirmation from the other side shows this individual’s mindset and delusions. The leader of the liberal party in Canada would rather hop on a plane to get busy with some of his usual shenanigans rather than stay in the country he’s supposed to lead and come up with solutions for the crises at home, economically, politically, and on every other level imaginable.
Even though the deal presented might seem fair at first glance, as it includes the much-demanded wage increase, nevertheless, The four-year contract, according to union president Rob Ashton, was “far too long” in light of the industry’s and the economy’s general uncertainty. This deal doesn’t protect the jobs of strikers. It is insufficient for this reason; dozens of strikers were back on the picket lines in East Vancouver near the union’s offices. He states ” With the record profits that the BCMEA’s member companies have earned over the last few years, the employers have not addressed the cost of living issues that our workers have faced over the last couple of years as all workers have,” the statement reads.
“The term of the collective agreement given with today’s uncertain times is far too long. We must be able to readdress the uncertainty in the world’s financial markets for our members.” Even though the workers didn’t get to vote on the deal because it was rejected before even getting to that point, they seem to agree with their Union leaders and are excited to go back on strike until they get a decent deal. One of the protesters stated, “I don’t know why it fell through…but I just know that, obviously, it got voted down, and we’re going back out,” they said.
“Hopefully, they agree to change the deal to work for everyone.”
“If the deal’s not right, it’s not right. Time to make it right and make sure we secure our jobs.”
Fiona Famulak, president of the B.C. Chamber of Commerce, expressed her “profound disappointment” with the strike’s return and referred to a longer-term port closure as “absolutely untenable.” But if that’s the case, if we can’t afford another strike, why didn’t the liberals in charge offer the union a reasonable deal to begin with?
If things keep heading in their current direction, we should brace for many more strikes. Bridgitte Anderson, president, and chief administrative officer of the Greater Vancouver Board of Trade, disclosed that the organization is relaunching its Port Shutdown Calculator, which predicted that almost $10 billion in traded products were impacted during the original strike action from July 1st to July 13th. At more than 30 port terminals and other locations throughout the province, 7,400 port workers participated. Is this something we can currently afford? Does it make any sense to keep ignoring the demands of the strike and attempt to enforce unfair solutions?
Danielle Smith also commented on the atrocities resulting from the incompetent liberal government and their dear leader. She tweets, “Canadians have had enough! The federal government must reconvene parliament and legislature for these workers’ return to work. Albertans and Canadians cannot afford to have hundreds of millions of dollars daily in products delayed at these ports. And the longer this strike continues, the more Canada’s credibility as a reliable trading partner is damaged. We need action now!”
This is expected to fall on deaf ears per usual; we know liberal prime minister Trudeau doesn’t care about anyone but himself. It seems he would prefer to champion Ukrainian rights rather than own up to his own mistakes and fix the country he broke. Does he even care that Canadians are done with him and his lies? Everything he says is a lie and it’s tough to even watch him anymore without holding back strong feelings of disdain and disgust.
