UN Slams Trudeau’s Failure on Workers and Canadian Jobs

Published:

UN Turns On Trudeau, Exposes His Failure

You know it’s bad when even your closest allies turn against you – and that’s just what’s happening to Trudeau as the UN unleashes a devastating takedown of his migrant worker disaster.

Consider this the ultimate proof that Trudeau’s signature policies are such catastrophic failures that not even globalist cronies can defend him anymore.

Trudeau’s open border catastrophe has crashed so spectacularly that the UN itself is now piling on criticism, blasting his migrant worker program as enabling abuse and leaving Canadians jobeless.

A scathing new UN report ripped Trudeau’s rapid expansion of migrant workers as a horrendous failure on every level. Turns out unchecked and uncontrolled immigration has consequences – who knew.

Trudeau has constantly touted the UN’s vision for open borders and mass migration. But now his ideological bedfellows are throwing him under the bus by exposing the grim reality of abuse and loss of Canadian jobs resulting from his policies. Yet another globalist ally devoured by Trudeau’s incompetence.

This stunning rebuke from the UN reveals Trudeau’s policies are such horrifying trainwrecks that even globalist elites can’t pretend they’re working anymore. When the UN itself starts piling on your failures, you know your leadership is a hopeless disaster.

Globalists Denounce Trudeau’s Immigration Disaster

In a stunning rebuke from one of his most dependable allies, Justin Trudeau is facing a torrent of criticism from the United Nations over his catastrophic mismanagement of Canada’s migrant worker program.

A scathing new UN report ripped into Trudeau’s reckless open border policies, stating that his Rapid Expansion of the Temporary Foreign Worker Program or TFWP has been an “abject failure” that created a “breeding ground for contemporary slavery.”

Trudeau has constantly touted the UN’s globalist vision and basks in their praise, but now even his allies are calling out the damage from his immigration failures. This harsh criticism of the TFWP shows Trudeau’s signature policies are so disastrous that even the UN could no longer cover for him.

According to the report, the TFWP “serves as a breeding ground for contemporary forms of slavery.” It states the program’s structure creates a dangerous dependency where migrant workers are vulnerable to “exploitation and abuse.”

UN Special Rapporteur Tomoya Obokata noted the litany of ways the TFWP enables abuse of foreigners, stating “The special rapporteur received reports of underpayment and wage theft, physical, emotional and verbal abuse, excessive work hours, limited breaks, extracontractual work, uncompensated managerial duties, lack of personal protective equipment, including in hazardous conditions…Women reported sexual harassment, exploitation and abuse.”

Recent data shows the number of low-wage migrant workers approved in just the first quarter of 2024 jumped 25% from the previous year, now reaching over 28,000. This tidal wave contradicts the notion of the TFWP as a last resort to fill temporary labor needs.

Even the UN report acknowledged the troubling power imbalance where migrants who report abuses risk losing their jobs and being deported, leaving many too fearful to come forward. Their lack of rights has allowed shocking mistreatment to become the norm.

Conservative Leader Pierre Poilievre blasted Trudeau’s recklessness for allowing the program to expand at the expense of Canadian workers, stating “Our temporary foreign worker program should only be available to fill jobs that employers have proven beyond a doubt cannot be filled by Canadians.”

But Trudeau has ignored all warnings, rapidly expanding the TFWP yearly, bowing to corporate donors addicted to cheap foreign labor. This has directly led to lost jobs and declining wages for Canadian workers, while enabling large-scale migrant worker exploitation as the UN detailed.

So basically Trudeau’s approach was disastrous from every angle. By recklessly allowing a massive influx of migrant workers into Canada without proper oversight or control, he not only failed to manage the situation effectively but also ended up exploiting these workers.

Simultaneously, his actions undermined Canadian workers by taking away their job opportunities, showcasing a monumental failure on both fronts.

For years, Trudeau has been warned repeatedly about the downsides of rapidly expanding the TFWP and mass importing migrant workers. But he stubbornly insisted more low-cost foreign labor was the answer, consequences be damned.

Trudeau essentially enabled modern-day slavery on Canadian soil just to satisfy corporate backers and his globalist ideology. He ignored credible warnings that these migrant workers would be abused and that Canadians would be left without jobs, leading to the very outcome the UN has now condemned.

Rather than heed concerns and moderate the intake to minimize harms, Trudeau accelerated the process drastically. This led directly to today’s crisis of migrant workers that the UN report called out.

Trudeau’s Regime Branded Total Failure

Trudeau’s government itself admitted that in just the first quarter of 2024, bosses got approval to hire over 28,000 low-wage migrant workers, a 25% surge from the previous year.

With Trudeau addicted to appeasing corporate donors demanding endless cheap labor, warnings from experts were brushed aside. His government looked the other way while worker protections were non-existent and Canadians were left jobless, lining up at places like Tim Hortons or other low-wage spots.

Other Critics argued that Trudeau’s accelerated intake contradicted the notion of the TFWP as a last resort, stating “This surge contradicts the program’s intent as a “last resort” option, particularly during a period of rising unemployment in Canada, especially among young Canadians.”

But Trudeau was all too happy to keep the migrant worker tap flowing, knowing it allowed corporations to avoid raising wages for Canadians. This globalist approach has been an epic fail, creating a crisis instead of a smoothly functioning labor market.

The UN report also slammed the Trudeau government’s direct role in enabling migrant worker exploitation, stating “The government defers a significant portion of responsibility for informing temporary foreign workers of their rights to employers, despite the obvious conflict of interest.”

With no oversight from Trudeau’s government, migrant workers have become disposable tools, leading to the endless reports of abuse that the UN cited. Trudeau’s government has essentially turned a blind eye, refusing to even monitor well-documented problems.

Minister Miller pathetically tried to deny the government’s responsibility, claiming the shocking “slavery” comparison was “inflammatory” despite all the facts.

He ignored the UN’s extensive documentation of rampant wage theft, abuse, excessive unpaid hours, unsafe conditions and sexual harassment under the TFWP. This is the dark underbelly of Trudeau’s rapid expansion of the program.

Miller also downplayed the scathing UN report as simply “allegations in some of the cases” rather than a systemic indictment. But the UN’s exhaustive investigation leaves no doubt – the TFWP structure enables exploitation as the core feature.

Trudeau’s government has recklessly abused the TFWP as a tool to benefit corporate donors with cheap, disposable labor. Streamlining access to foreign workers has become their priority.

Minister Miller admitted the problems but still claimed “It’s unfair to employers that employ people and treat them well to call them the equivalent of slave owners.”

But the UN report shows that even if workers aren’t directly abused, they still face coercion. Meanwhile, Canadians are stuck looking for entry-level jobs for months or even years, including those with university degrees.

This all happened because Trudeau thought letting in cheap labor was a good idea instead of focusing on creating opportunities for Canadians.
