New leaked documents reveal the CBC’s big middle finger to citizens. Despite just firing hundreds of employees to “cut costs,” these hypocrites turned around and showered themselves with $18 million in taxpayer-funded bonuses.

The bonus bonanza came right after Trudeau handed the CBC yet another billion plus dollars ripped from taxpayers already struggling with crazy inflation. But these leeches always want more.

While regular Canadians carefully count every nickel at the store due to soaring costs and Trudeau’s endless tax grabs, these CBC cronies count fat bonus cheques thanks to you. Now we can finally see their shameless greed exposed.

After endless scandals, these hypocrites claimed defunding them would hurt Canadians. Yet they clearly have plenty of your cash to splurge on executives when it’s time for bonuses! They think we’re all just idiots funding their party.

CBC Cronies Feast on $18M Taxpayer Bonanza

A shocking new report exposed the CBC engaging in shocking hypocrisy by splurging $18 million on bonuses while laying off hundreds. This outrageous insult to taxpayers happened thanks to Trudeau’s mismanagement.

Documents obtained through access to information requests revealed the CBC doled out $18.4 million in bonuses to over 1000 employees and executives last fiscal year. This disgraceful handout came immediately after chopping hundreds of jobs.

Over $3 million of that taxpayer money lined the pockets of just 45 CBC executives. They pocketed average bonuses exceeding $73,000 – higher than the median Canadian family income. 

Another $10.4 million in bonuses went to 631 CBC managers. And $4.6 million more got sprinkled amongst other staffers. A million here, a million there – pretty soon we’re talking real money. The CBC party never stops thanks to Trudeau’s blank taxpayer check.

This bonus spree was approved in June after the CBC had already chopped hundreds of jobs. They cut 141 employees and eliminated 205 vacant positions to “save money” then turned around and blew $18 million on bonuses. 

Last December, Members of Parliament requested details on the bonus payouts after Trudeau handed the CBC another billion-plus dollars from taxpayers. But the CBC refused to disclose the amounts, covering up their greed.

Only through access to information requests did Canadians learn about the obscene executive bonuses averaging $73,000. But for struggling citizens losing their jobs, the CBC has only cold-hearted cuts. 

Last year CBC President Catherine Tait was squirming when Adrienne Arsenault asked her if bonuses would still be awarded despite the layoffs. Like any good elite bureaucrat, she dodged the question and refused to rule it out.

Well now we have the answer – the CBC fired hundreds of employees with one hand while rewarding themselves with $18 million in bonuses with the other. All thanks to Trudeau’s big government spending with our tax money.

Conservative MP and heritage critic Rachael Thomas rightly blasted this “shocking display of incompetence and greed” at the CBC. Canadians have had enough of this corrupt Trudeau-funded organization abusing our tax dollars.

We have already witnessed what the CBC does when they have copious amounts of money being handed to them on a silver platter, they lie, steal, and obfuscate the truth from all of us when they are being held accountable after being caught red handed.

After sustaining endless scandals and accountability lapses, the CBC gaslighted critics by claiming defunding would leave Canadians stranded without a voice. Yet they always find millions for outrageous executive bonuses while firing regular workers.

At a time when ordinary citizens are struggling to feed their families and keep the lights on, CBC elites feast on bonus cheques from taxpayers. Canadians subsidizing this CBC extravagance have finally had enough. 

This $18 million bonus windfall happened after Trudeau showered the CBC with over a billion dollars taken from citizens already struggling with soaring inflation. But spoiled CBC cronies always demand more taxpayer funding. They even got another $42 million “top up” from Trudeau last year when the billion apparently wasn’t enough.

While everyday people count pennies at the grocery store checkout, CBC elites count bonus cheques from Trudeau. Canadians are now aware of this hypocrisy thanks to the documents exposing the CBC’s betrayal of taxpayers.

No wonder the CBC hid these outrageous bonus amounts for so long despite Parliament demanding answers. They knew revealing over $18 million in bonuses after firing hundreds would be indefensible.  

Trudeau Taxes Devour Budgets

In fact, the CBC is drowning in wasteful funding they shovel into executive pockets and Liberal-friendly content. Yet like all addicts, they always demand more. Canadians are fed up bankrolling this corrupt Liberal propaganda machine.

What’s worse, while CBC executives gorge on millions in bonuses, regular Canadians are struggling with sky-high costs thanks to Trudeau’s out-of-control taxes. His climate extremism is set to make our gas bills so tax-heavy, the taxes might end up costing more than the gas itself within the next decade.

According to a new report from the Canadian Taxpayers Federation, by 2030, almost 48% of what you pay at the pump will be taxes. In some places, the tax will actually be higher than the base cost of the fuel—talk about a double whammy.

Right now, taxes already make up over a third of your gas price after Trudeau’s latest carbon tax hike. With his GST and other levies, you’re paying more in taxes than for the gas itself. 

And he’s not done yet—he’s planning to keep cranking up the carbon tax until it adds over 30% to your gas bill by 2030. So, you’ll be paying nearly half of your pump price in taxes—seriously outrageous.

Trudeau likes to claim his carbon taxes are saving the planet, but the reality is, they’re hurting ordinary families while big polluters get a free pass. All pain, no gain—that’s the Trudeau way.

A study found that Trudeau’s carbon tax is already costing the economy $12 billion a year, and that’s set to hit $30 billion annually by 2030. Imagine what those billions could accomplish if they were invested in projects aimed at improving Canadians’ livelihoods, rather than being spent on this tax.

With billions wasted on an ineffective carbon tax, just imagine how else we could use that money – like finally defunding and dismantling the wasteful CBC. 

Despite constantly crying poor, they always find millions for executive bonuses, limos, champagne parties and outrageous salaries. After this $18 million insult, it’s clearly time to pull the plug and re-allocate those billions to benefit Canadians.

The CBC’s bonus fiasco is doubly outrageous considering their falling viewership and revenues. Almost nobody watches their shows, yet executives still gorge on taxpayer bonuses. We’d get more value burning the money for warmth this winter.
